About Me
Cheryl’s work is filled with the richness of her southern Louisiana roots where she enjoyed listening to stories and music from her Cajun heritage. Woven into her tales are the gathered memories of sitting on front porches, under the shadow of a raised quilt frame, at kitchen tables or in the local dance halls. As her brothers played music, she fell in love with the rhythm of words. Today she enjoys sharing personal tales, folktales, and stories of transformation with audiences of all ages. Her programs reach venues that include children in schools, festival stages as well as adults in living rooms, churches and seminars.
